Privacy policy: Pruner
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This policy explains what data the app “Pruner: Version History Cleanup for Confluence” (the app), published by Kayabyte, the trading name of Caner Kaya, Stasjonsveien 64, Oslo, Norway, processes when it is installed on an Atlassian Cloud site.
What the app does
The app deletes old versions of Confluence pages and attachments according to a retention policy set by a Confluence admin.
Data the app stores
The app stores only the following, in Atlassian Forge hosted storage on the customer’s Atlassian site: - Settings: the number of versions to keep, the minimum age, the chosen space keys and the on/off switches. - A summary of the last run: time, counts (pages checked, versions found or deleted, storage size) and the IDs and titles of up to 10 pages with the most old versions.
The app does not store page content, attachment files, names or email addresses.
Data the app reads but does not store
To do its job, the app reads the list of spaces, pages, attachments and their version history (version numbers, dates and file sizes) through Atlassian’s APIs. This data is used during processing and is not kept.
Where data is processed
All processing happens on Atlassian’s Forge platform. The app makes no calls to servers outside Atlassian, and no data is sent to Kayabyte or to any third party.
Retention and deletion
Stored data is kept while the app is installed. When the app is uninstalled, its Forge storage is deleted by Atlassian in line with Atlassian’s Forge data retention rules. Customers can also ask us to confirm deletion by contacting support.
Logs
For troubleshooting, the app writes operational logs on the Forge platform containing page IDs and counts. These logs are kept by Atlassian under its Forge log retention rules.
Your rights
