Personal WIP Limits for Jira

Limit how much work each person has in progress. When someone is at their limit, Jira stops new work from starting and explains why.

• Personal limit. Set how many work items each person may have in progress, counted across all projects or per project.
• One workflow rule. Add the Personal WIP limit rule to the transitions that start work, in company-managed and team-managed workflows.
• Exceptions. Switch checks off in a project, give projects their own limit when counting per project, and exempt groups.
