Privacy policy: Group Participants for Jira Service Management

Last updated: 11 October 2026

This policy explains what data the app “Group Participants for Jira Service Management” (the app), published by Kayabyte, the trading name of Caner Kaya, Stasjonsveien 64, Oslo, Norway, processes when it is installed on an Atlassian Cloud site.

What the app does

The app adds members of Jira groups as participants on Jira Service Management requests, based on rules set by project admins or on demand by agents.

Data the app stores

The app stores only the following, in Atlassian Forge hosted storage on the customer’s Atlassian site: - Project settings: project ID, request type IDs, group IDs and group names, and the on/off switches. - The result of the last sync: time and counts (requests checked, people added, removed, not added). - A snapshot of each rule’s group members, as Atlassian account IDs, used to detect who joined or left a group.

The app does not store names, email addresses or the content of requests.

Data the app reads but does not store

To do its job, the app reads group memberships, request types, request participants and the reporter of a request through Atlassian’s APIs. This data is used during processing and is not kept.

Where data is processed

All processing happens on Atlassian’s Forge platform. The app makes no calls to servers outside Atlassian, and no data is sent to Kayabyte or to any third party.

Retention and deletion

Stored data is kept while the app is installed. When the app is uninstalled, its Forge storage is deleted by Atlassian in line with Atlassian’s Forge data retention rules. Customers can also ask us to confirm deletion by contacting support.

Logs

For troubleshooting, the app writes operational logs on the Forge platform containing issue keys, group IDs and counts. These logs are kept by Atlassian under its Forge log retention rules.

Your rights

Because the app stores only Atlassian account IDs inside your own Atlassian site, most requests are best handled by your site admin. For questions about this policy or about data the app processes, contact support@kayabyte.dev.

Changes

We will update this page if the app’s data handling changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
